Liz Wiseman teaches leadership to executives and emerging leaders around the world. She is the President of The Wiseman Group, a leadership research and development firm headquartered in Silicon Valley. Some of her recent clients include: Apple, Disney, eBay/PayPal, Facebook, GAP, Google, Microsoft, Nike, Roche, Salesforce.com, and Twitter. Liz has been listed on the Thinkers50 ranking and named as one of the top 10 leadership thinkers in the world and recipient of the 2016 ATD Champion of Talent Award.
She is the author of three best-selling books: Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter (New York Times & Wall Street Journal bestseller), Rookie Smarts: Why Learning Beats Knowing in the New Game of Work (Wall Street Journal best seller), and The Multiplier Effect: Tapping the Genius Inside Our Schools. She has conducted significant research in the field of leadership and collective intelligence and writes for Harvard Business Review and Fortune and her work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Entrepreneur, Inc. and Time magazines. She is a frequent guest lecturer at BYU, and Stanford University.
A former executive at Oracle Corporation, she worked over the course of 17 years as the Vice President of Oracle University and as the global leader for Human Resource Development. During her tenure at Oracle, she led several major global initiatives and has worked and traveled in over 40 countries.
Liz holds a Bachelors degree in Business Management and a Masters of Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University. Liz lives in Menlo Park, California with her husband and four children who share her over-active curiosity and sense of adventure.
Larry Wiseman is Director of The Wiseman Group and runs all aspects of the business operations. Larry has over 10 years of experience in technology marketing and sales and has worked as an international trade consultant for Kanematsu where he traveled extensively throughout Asia Pacific.
Larry speaks fluent Japanese, holds a bachelor degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University and also manages a real-estate investment business.
Alyssa Gallagher is passionate about creating a new culture of leaders and providing dynamic learning experiences that will shape leaders as they grow. Alyssa is the Director of Global Leadership Development Practice for the Wiseman Group. Previously, she was the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Community Partnership for the Los Altos School District. Under Alyssa’s guidance, LASD became a nationally recognized leader in education innovation with her work featured in Forbes, Wired, The Economist magazines and on CNN and the CBS News program 60 Minutes. Alyssa was recently recognized as the “2013 Education Multiplier of the Year” and enjoys coaching leaders on the Multiplier mindsets and disciplines.
Karina Wilhelms is the Practice Director for The Wiseman Group where she runs operations for the leadership development practice. Previously, she was Manager of Conferences for Linkage and served as the Program Director of Linkage’s Institute for Leading Diversity & Inclusion and Linkage’s Women in Leadership Institute. She has over a decade of experience creating and running executive development programs. In addition, Karina has partnered with numerous thought leaders providing editing, writing, and research support. She contributed to bestselling Everybody Wins: The Story and Lessons Behind RE/MAX and Leading the Global Workforce: Best Practices from Linkage, Inc.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and lives in the Bay Area with her husband and three sons.
Judy Jung wears many hats for The Wiseman Group: Executive Events Director, Client Services Manager, Project Manager, Graphic Designer, Art Director, and Executive Assistant to Liz & Larry Wiseman, to name just a few.
She’s orchestrated data and pixels for businesses ranging from burnished corporations to sparkly start-ups, in fields such as finance, human resources, education, technology, e-commerce, business development, fashion, performing arts, graphic design, printing, and web design.
Rob DeLange is the President of Career Climb Consulting, LLC and a Master Practitioner at The Wiseman Group. Rob uses his deep Multiplier experience to coach executives and conduct leadership workshops around the world. He has worked with startup firms, mid-sized companies, and many businesses across the Fortune 500 spectrum including AT&T, LG Electronics, Roche, Salesforce, eBay, Johnson & Johnson, Abbvie, Cisco, and Pepperidge Farm. In addition, Rob has worked extensively with non-profit organizations including AAMC, JHU Applied Physics Lab, Connecticut Department of Transportation, University of Oregon, and World Vision International.
Rob has over 15 years of experience building corporate learning centers and training programs at global technology companies. Rob began his career as a systems analyst and programming supervisor for Pacific Bell (now AT&T). At PeopleSoft he was the product support manager and then led the technical training organization, where he was instrumental in achieving PeopleSoft’s recognition as number 4 on the ASTD 2004 BEST 100 training companies list. Rob led HR and field sales training functions for EMC’s software division and most recently worked as a talent management consultant at VISA Inc.
Rob combines deep experience as a technologist, years of solid management experience, and a gift for teaching and coaching. His greatest talent is enabling business leaders to develop the people around them. He also has extensive global experience, having worked in over 14 countries and is fluent in Spanish. Rob is SPHR certified and holds a Masters degree in Systems Management from the University of Denver and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
Mark Sato is a Master Practitioner for The Wiseman Group where he leads Multipliers workshops and conducts keynotes for business leaders. He has more than 15 years of corporate management and leadership training at Franklin Templeton, Kaiser Permanente and Oracle Corporation. During this time he has designed and delivered dozens of management training programs and has held management roles leading teams of over 100 people.
Since 2005 Mark has led his own training consultancy and is known for his engaging workshops and his warm sense of humor. He is a highly sought after trainer for content providers like the de Bono Group, LIW, and slap. He has global leadership experience working with managers in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, and current clients include Cisco, Eastman Chemical, Oracle, Salesforce.com, and Stanford Children’s Health. Mark holds a Master of Business Administration and lives with his family in the Bay Area.
Elise Foster is a leadership coach who enables business executives to unlock their potential to become even more successful. She is a coauthor of The Multiplier Effect: Tapping the Genius Inside Our Schools and a Master Practitioner for The Wiseman Group. She is known for delivering engaging and impactful workshops and keynotes for business leaders.
She has more than 14 years of engineering and organizational development experience across Cummins, Inc., Harvard University, and Indiana University. She has coached more than 25 business leaders and 200 full-time MBA students and designed and delivered leadership workshops for as many as 200 participants. Elise guides senior leaders on using their intelligence to make everyone around them smarter and more capable.
She has taught and coached students at Indiana University (Kelley School of Business) and as a management fellow at Harvard University. She holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from Virginia Tech and a master’s in education from Harvard University.
She is the mother of one school-aged daughter, and Elise also enjoys finding the genius in local high school students through her work with the Lilly Foundation Scholarship and Youth Leadership Bartholomew County.
Jon Haverly is a Master Practitioner for the Wiseman Group where he leads Multipliers workshops, delivers keynotes and provides leadership coaching.
During his workshops, he draws upon his extensive leadership experience to help business, government and non-profit organizations apply the Multipliers principles to more fully engage and utilize their teams. As a coach Jon helps leaders unlock the full potential of their teams and organizations to become even more successful.
Clients frequently recognize his ability to translate workshop topics into actions which provide opportunities to apply learning immediately and resolve real work issues. Jon has over 15 years of experience managing large projects and leading change initiatives across a variety of industries.
Jon is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a Master of Business Administration from Albany University. He lives with his wife and two children in Upstate New York.
Yolanda Elliott is a Master Practitioner for The Wiseman Group and a business owner for EKM Consulting in Costa Rica. She has experience as General Manager for manufacturing and service operations, managing 350 employees at manufacturing facilities. Yolanda understands both the process and the people side of a business. She leads workshops from senior management levels all the way down to supervisors. She started her career with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and, later obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Inter American University in Puerto Rico.
She has extensive global experience and is fluent in Spanish. She has delivered Multipliers workshops and coaching sessions for enterprises such as Pepperidge Farm, eBay, PayPal and Progress Software in the U.S. She has also worked with more than 250 business leaders in México, Ecuador, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Guatemala, through companies such as La Nación, GBM (an IBM partner), Scotiabank, Lafise Bank, Enjoy Group, Lion Resources (Publisis Groupe). Yolanda gains trust from her audience by creating a safe environment to learn and contribute. Her workshops and coaching sessions provide awareness and clarity of concepts and ideas, which leads to successful implementation and change.
As a business owner since 2004, she combines her strong managerial skills and expertise with her interest in organizational development for lasting business impact. She has trained more than 300 people in Lean Six Sigma methodology, and has personally overseen more than 50 improvement projects that resulted in bottom line impact on cost savings of at least $1 million.
Tonia Forbus is the Executive Support Coordinator and her responsibilities extend to working with The Wiseman Group’s global partners and practitioners.
As founder of APM Services, Tonia brings profound knowledge of business office administration, systems development, program and project management, and event management from experiences in a very wide variety of industries ranging from start-ups to established organizations.
Tonia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and is a Bay Area native.
Jules Vano is the Operations Manager for The Wiseman Group. In this role, she supports the operations of the leadership development practice. Jules has run her own PR/Marketing and Event Management business since 2008 and previously worked with THIS Inc. where she ran the entire operations of the business.
Jules is a passionate philanthropist and enjoys serving the community. She has aided multiple fundraisers and event management, including for our current Attorney General of California, Kamala Harris, during her 2010 campaign.
Jules joined Hope Flight Foundation as one of their Board of Directors from 2010-2015. Hope Flight is a non-profit foundation that transports (via plane) children with life-threatening illnesses from their homes to hospitals for urgent care. She helped Hope Flight in marketing and event planning as well as overseeing all aspects of event promotions and venue scouting.
San Francisco’s Lymphoma and Cancer Society nominated Jules as a candidate for “Woman of the Year” in 2011.
Jayson Sevison leads all things marketing at The Wiseman Group and is passionate about business growth. He works closely with the team to maintain alignment with the longterm business strategy and each marketing campaign to more effectively communicate our story to the world.
Jayson has over five years of digital marketing experience while earning a Bachelor Degree from BYU and currently lives in Utah where he enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family.
